the invention of Microsoft, by David

Following the launching of the Altair 8800, Bill Gates called to the creators of the new microcomputer, Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems (MITS), offering an implementation of the language of programming BASIC for the system. After the demonstration, MITS consented to distribute Altair BASIC. Gates left the University of Harvard, moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico where the MITS was established, and he founded, next to Paul Allen, Microsoft in 1975. The first international office of the company opened at 1st of November of 1978, in Japan, under the name of "ASCII Microsoft" (at the moment well-known as Microsoft Japan). The 1st of January of 1979, Microsoft moved to Bellevue, in Washington.
